We are looking for Shift Operators to join us on this journey. This is your chance to play a hands-on role in launching a brand new, Australian-made copy paper — designed for the future and made right here in Tasmania.
Job Description
You will have the opportunity to be involved our brand-new plant equipment; you’ll be directly involved in bringing new technology to life.
During your first few months with Boyer, you will learn and operate the plant on day shift, once fully operational, this position will work 2 nights, 2 days, 4 off shift roster with on-call requirements (we expect this to be around July 2026).
Once you settle into your new routine alongside your colleagues you will operate and monitor the equipment as it cuts large rolls of paper into precision sized sheets before you complete the packaging and distribution process. You will ensure the machine runs smoothly, produces high-quality paper and meets product specifications.
What You’ll Do:
Ensure all safety procedures are always followed
Identify processing parameters and adjust machine settings throughout the shift as required
Conduct equipment cleaning and maintain a clean, safe work area
Ensure quality and production record keeping is maintained
Operate the copy paper sheeter and wrapping equipment to workplace procedure
