Ready to kickstart a hands-on career with one of Tasmania’s most iconic industrial sites?
At Boyer Paper Mill, we’re proud of our history, but even prouder of the people who shape our future. We’re looking for motivated, reliable, and curious individuals to join our Production Department as Paper Making Trainees where structured learning meets real-world experience.
This four-year traineeship offers a unique opportunity to build a long-term career in the paper manufacturing industry. You’ll gain practical skills, industry knowledge, and experience working as part of a skilled production team that keeps the mill running 24/7.
This is a shift-based position (2 nights, 2 days, 4 off, including weekends and public holidays). While prior experience in shift work or industrial/hands-on roles is beneficial, it’s your attitude, teamwork, and commitment to learning that will set you apart.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment
-
Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts (including nights, weekends, and public holidays)
