Job Description

Job Summary

We are currently recruiting for a Fitter for our Plant Assets (such as the Paper Mill and Pulp Mills) as well as a Machinist for our Workshop. 

  • Promoting safe work behaviours and contributing to a strong safety culture
  • Precision machining, fitting and turning
  • Preventative maintenance, breakdown support and shutdown work as required
  • Servicing, repairing, and fitting mechanical components and spares
  • Supporting installation, refurbishment, and improvement projects
  • Participation in an after-hours shared on-call roster

Desired Skills and Experience

What You’ll Bring

  • Certificate III Mechanical Trade (e.g., Fitter & Turner, Maintenance Fitter, Machinist, or equivalent)
  • Machining Experience (manual and/or CNC) for our machinist role
  • Strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement
  • Experience in preventative and breakdown maintenance in an industrial environment
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Positive communication skills and a proactive approach

Highly regarded:

  • Hydraulics or Pneumatics Experience
  • Welding capability
  • Experience with condition monitoring, vibration analysis, or CMMS systems
  • Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
